Maintenance of Banyans & Al Wathba Slaughterhouse

Axon Facilities Management and Services was commissioned by the Department of Municipalities and Transport - Abu Dhabi to implement the project. The Bani Yas and Al Wathba Slaughterhouse Maintenance Project was successfully executed to enhance operational efficiency, safety standards, and facility functionality in alignment with the requirements of the Department of Municipalities and Transport – Abu Dhabi.

The facility consists of 38 pens, each with an approximate area of 72 square meters, requiring comprehensive maintenance and infrastructure improvements. The project scope covered a range of civil, architectural, and electrical works aimed at upgrading existing structures and supporting daily operations.

Scope of Work:

Excavation and backfilling works to support structural modifications and service improvements.
Concrete works, including repair and new construction to ensure durability and compliance with standards.
Partitioning works for the guard’s room at Bani Yas Slaughterhouse to improve space utilization and functionality.
Expansion and reconfiguration of the accountant’s office at Bani Yas Slaughterhouse for enhanced operational efficiency.
Construction of a dedicated veterinary office at Al Wathba Slaughterhouse for sheep inspection and health control.
Replacement of existing lighting systems in the two public halls at Al Wathba Slaughterhouse with energy-efficient LED lighting, improving visibility and reducing energy consumption.

All works were carried out in accordance with approved specifications, health and safety regulations, and quality standards, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing slaughterhouse operations.
